I started on the Internet back in the 14.4 baud modem days with only a few million people connected at the time. There were no how-to-sell-on-the-Internet teachers back then and I had just lost my home, recording studio and production company in a Canadian-style divorce. I had also lost my hope and was pretty "lost" believing I would forever be removed from what I loved most and did best in this world - writing and producing music. You can sample some of that below.
See, I had sold the multi-store drycleaning business I owned when my part-time endevours as a songwriter started paying off. I was doing publishing deals with people like Michael Sembello (She's a Maniac/Grammy winner/one of my musical heroes) and artists like Tower of Power lead singer, Lenny Williams, and Latin artist, Wilkins, were recording my songs. I also won Billboard Magazine's first and second songwriting competitions. I was "breaking into the business" as the saying goes.
I'm sure I was the first marketing info-product creator to use a personal growth approach but even if not, I simply used the same core values that created my offline successes in business and music and brought them to those who were also eager to make a living online. And holy cow, did that ever take off fast!
Many refer to me today as one of the "grandfathers of Internet marketing" creating several top-selling marketing products but after just a few short years I became disenchanted with the hype and dishonesty that became prevalent (and still is today).
Minutes after the horrific events of September 11, 2001, I began making the decision that instead of helping to build people's online businesses, I would just help build people. I started traveling a more spiritual path.
In 2002, I released the Success: A Spiritual Matter eBook which featured in-depth interviews with people like the late Jim Rohn, Yanik Silver, Joe Vitale, Michel Fortin and even NFL quarterback (and future Hall of Famer), Drew Bledsoe). After a decade, I just re-released it (at almost half-price) with a totally non-sales salespage:-) So man feel the wisdom of my contributors is even more relevant today! http://www.onlygoodbusiness.com
In 2006 I co-founded the humanitarian project, 10 Million Clicks For Peace, endorsed by Nobel Peace Prize Winner, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Deepak Chopra, Jack Canfield and the grandson of Mahatma Gandhi, Arun Gandhi, to name a few. Our blog is at http://www.tenmillionclicksforpeace.org We help shelter and feed the world's forgotten 21 million war refugees and sponsor global peace education.
Today, I am just beginning to launch the most important work of my life called Modern Day Mastery alongside my partner in 10MC, Julian Kalmar. The best way to describe the intense 9-month course is "a way to help people "transform their lives with spiritual mastery, so they can in turn masterfully transform the world." One of the largest personal development experts in the world, Natalie Ledwell, founder of Mind Movies, did 3 interviews with us. Here's the last, about our mastery program: http://www.mindmovies.com/inspirationshow/index.php?25763&episo...
